Meet Our Tuba Instructor
Originally from Johns Creek Georgia, Andrew Berry is currently a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Georgia (MM Music Performance) and graduated from Kennesaw State University in May of 2020 (BM Music Performance). He regularly performs with the Georgia Brass Band, Atlanta’s premiere British-style brass band, on both euphonium and baritone. Andrew also actively freelances as a tubist around the Atlanta area and currently serves as the tubist for the St. Aidan's Episcopal Church Brass Quintet. During his time as a student at KSU, Andrew achieved a variety of honorable accomplishments, some of which include winning KSU's annual Concerto Competition, placing as a finalist in many solo, mock band, and chamber competitions at various regional and international conferences hosted by the International Tuba Euphonium Association, as well as winning a world championship DCI title with the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. Andrew has studied with some of the finest tuba/euphonium teachers and performers in the Southeast region in the past decade including Dr. Matthew Shipes, Dr. Paul Dickinson, Dr. Martin Cochran, Dr. Adam Frey, Jason Casanova and Donald Strand.
