Samuel Boeger

       Samuel Boeger, a native of Acworth Georgia, has been a impactful performer and educator within the Metro-Atlanta area. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree at Northwestern University studying under the tutelage of Michael Mulcahy, Randall Hawes, Christopher Davis, Timothy Higgins and Douglas Wright. He received his Bachelors of Music from Kennesaw State University while studying with trombone players of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; Brian Hecht and Nathan Zgonc. He has competed and auditioned for several occasions during his career with achievements including; Finalist in Southeast Trombone Symposium Excerpts Competition for 2016, Finalist and Second Alternate for International Trombone Association George Roberts competition during 2017 and 2018, Finalist in Kennesaw State University Concerto Competition 2019, Runner-Up in Quartet Competition for the American Trombone Workshop in 2020, Winner of Division 2 Solo Competition for the American Trombone Workshop, and Substitute Bass Trombone of the Milwaukee Symphony in 2020. Samuel has performed with several major groups including; Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Philharmonic, Georgia Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet, and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.


Matt Scott

       Mr. Scott received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Kennesaw State University. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Kennesaw State University and spent several years working in sales for a mid-sized oil company. While in “Corporate America”, Mr. Scott began teaching trombone lessons on the side. It was through this that he realized his love for teaching and decided to go back to school to be a middle school band director.

       Mr. Scott is an accomplished trombonist who is regularly called to play all across the southeast. He has also been fortunate enough to play with such professional orchestras as the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Scott is the principal trombonist of the Georgia Brass Band.

       Mr. Scott is a consummate teacher and his private students have gone on to attend such prestigious universities as Northwestern University, Manhattan School of Music and the Juilliard School. His students are consistently invited to participate in their regional Honor Bands as well as the Georgia All-State Band. Mr. Scott is regularly called upon for masterclasses, All-State clinics and is in high demand as a guest brass clinician across the Southeast.

       Mr. Scott resides in Brookhaven, Georgia and when he is not teaching or playing trombone, he enjoys reading, running, hiking and spending time with his wife, Ambar, and his cat, Leia.
